Washington State - Statewide LGBTQ Survey
Survey Purpose
This first-of-its-kind statewide survey aims to understand the characteristics and experiences of LGBTQ+ people in the state of Washington. The research is funded by the Washington LGBTQ Commission and is being designed for LGBTQ+ Washingtonians by LGBTQ+ Washingtonians. The LGBTQ Commission will use the findings to inform their policy recommendations to the Office of the Governor and the Washington State Legislature. Survey participants will be eligible for raffle drawings.
The survey closed January 31st, 2025, at midnight.

Survey questions will ask you about aspects of your identity, your perspectives, and experiences you have had. You can skip any question for any reason.
- Who is eligible to participate?

You can participate if you: are a member of the LGBTQ+ community AND are a resident of the state or live in the state of Washington.
- When can I participate?

The survey launches on June 1st! We will be accepting new responses through January 2025.
- How can I participate?

There are a number of ways you can take the survey! In the comfort of your own home on a personal device. At events where survey staff are present on a staff-provided device or with pen and paper.
- Who is making and/or working on the survey?

The WA LGBTQ+ survey is being led, created, and conducted by an all-LGBTQ+ team!
- What will be done with my data?

All survey responses are 100% anonymous. No identifying information will be collected. The results of this survey will help inform the Washington LGBTQ Commission and the Office of the Governor on important policy decisions regarding our community.
