Event Description

Intergenerational Committee Community Connection Session 2: Transgender Experiences Across Generations

The Intergenerational Committee exists to bring together 2SLGBTQIA+ people across generations to build community, foster meaningful connection, and ensure that the lived experiences of seniors, adults, youth, and young people inform the Commission’s work. Our focus is on creating intentional space for shared learning, relationship-building, and honest dialogue across age groups. Through regular, themed conversations, the committee identifies gaps, opportunities, and points of alignment across generations, helping translate intergenerational insight into recommendations that strengthen the Commission’s understanding, priorities, and impact.

To kick off the Community Connection Sessions, the International Committee invites you to join a discussion on transgender experiences across generations. Come share your lived experiences as a rural 2SLGBTQIA+ Washingtonian and hear from others about their experiences. What the Committee hears and learns in Community Connection Sessions will directly inform committee work and shape recommendations to the Governor's office, state agencies, and the legislature on ways to improve life for 2SLGBQTIA+ Washingtonians of all ages.

We encourage you to share this invite out with individuals who might be interested!
